The Eclectus Group is the official representative to BIRDCOOP for breeders of eclectus parrots. (BIRDCOOP is the forum composed of American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA) bird curators and birdkeepers and representatives of species-specific bird societies working together to exchange information and coordinate efforts for the long term management of psittacine species in the U.S.)

A. Members of the Eclectus Group will receive information about the work of BIRDCOOP and will have the opportunity to provide input to BIRDCOOP through the Eclectus Group.

B. Members of the Eclectus Group will work to preserve purity of subspecies in captivity and for the survival of eclectus parrots in the wild.
